About Pamela Sklar

pamela_sklar_hs250Described by The New York Times as "engaging...piquant...stimulating...delightful...", Pamela Sklar enjoys collaborating with other artists playing different styles of music. She performed throughout the USA, Canada, France, Italy, Mexico, Morocco and Japan with various artists including renowned pianist/composer Claude Bolling, with whom she performed his Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano Trio, recorded by late legendary flutist Jean-Pierre Rampal. With monsieur Bolling she also appeared with jazz greats Hubert Laws and Jack Wilkins. Pamela also performed for many seasons as principal flute with world-renowned pianist & composer Dave Brubeck, as well as with Alan Hovhaness with whom she was a featured performer in a program of the composer's works at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY.

sachem trio 2012 t Sachem Trio includes music by Pamela Sklar; A Tune For America: Jazz-Native American inspired music for Flute, Bass & Drums, as well as jazz standards, bossa nova & other jazz-influenced music. Sachem is Pamela Sklar, flute with Christopher Dean Sullivan, bass; and drummer Bob Meyer or John Arrucci. Sachem is also part of the Earl Brown Quartet with Mr. Brown on piano.
